2015 art festival summer season recap

Wow what a whirlwind few months! I showed my art all over the city this summer. I had such a great season and my success is owed to everyone who came by to show their support. So from the bottom of my heart thank you!

On June 13th and 14th, I participated in the Wells Street Art Festival in the Old Town neighborhood of Chicago. The fest was a huge success and seeing everyone’s enthusiasm and appreciation for my art meant the world to me! Saturday was a very successful day. I sold 28 original paintings. It was great to see all the blue abstract paintings go so quickly. Another item that was a big hit was the 12×24 city paintings – I had Chicago, New York, San Francisco, Seattle, Washington DC, Denver, Miami, Boston, New Orleans, Nashville and Austin. By the end of the weekend I was absolutely exhausted but I was thrilled with the positive response my art received and how many people took a piece of it home with them.

The next two fests were a bit calmer but I was still overwhelmed with the turnout and all the friends and family who stopped by to support me! On August 22nd and 23rd, I participated in the West Loop Art Fest in Chicago’s West Loop neighborhood. I did over 50 transactions throughout the weekend. Crazy Pineapple prints were a big hit as well as Be Sharp and Love You So paintings. Then on September 19th and 20th I participated in the Ravesnwood Artwalk on the city’s northside. Crazy Pineapple prints were again a popular item and I sold several 6×6 mini canvases. The sweetest little girl purchased Wild for her room and it was so heartwarming to see her excited about the painting.  While organizing and cleaning post shows I decided to put a few things on sale.
