I don’t know what it’s like where you live, but it’s been a bit colder here in Chicago. The leaves have been changing and I’ve brought out the boots and the sweaters. Fall has officially snuck into the air. To celebrate the new season I invited some friends over this weekend for dinner and pumpkin carving.
This is the first year I’ve decorated for the Fall season so I decided to start small with a few natural elements – mainly earthy textures and vibrant warm colors. For the tabletop I kept it simple – white dishware, a burlap runner, votive candles and lots of mini pumpkins. On Friday I’ll pick out a Fall bouquet from my favorite local flower shop and mix it into the centerpiece. And for a handmade touch, I made a set of napkins and table setting name cards. After dinner we’re going to listen to Halloween music, drink wine and make this pumpkin seed recipe.
